Review of FuFu Shabu in Ari !
FuFu Shabu (ฟู่ฟู่ ชาบู) is a Taiwanese restaurant with a few branches in Bangkok. I visited the Ari branch on a few occasions and always left with a satisfied and overfilled belly! They got a choice of meat to order “a la carte” and a huge buffet of mostly everything you could imagine in a shabu restaurant.
First, you got to pick the soup that you want for the hot pot. Fortunately, the pot is split in two, so you can try two different flavors. We went for the spicy Chinese soup and the classic Taiwanese one that time. The spicy Chinese soup is very spicy, it has these Sichuan peppers that makes your mouth feel numb. The Taiwanese broth is pretty simple and light.
Before heading to the buffet, you can order different cuts of beef, pork, and chicken. In the buffet section, you will find some marinated meat and a variety of processed meat and fish balls. You got a bunch of veggies and some seafood. The quality of the food is good, not premium, but definitely not low grade.
I had a little crush for this fish ball filled with gooey cheese.
The dessert section at FuFu literally took me by surprise. I don’t have a sweet tooth and didn’t expect much from the desserts so I stuffed myself with their savory delicious meat. But the dessert section shouldn’t be ignored!
They got Haggen Dazs and Movenpick freezers so you can get your fix of quality ice cream. There is also a pancake station where you can create your own with plenty of different toppings! And to finish, there is a cotton candy machine!
The buffet at FuFu Shabu (ฟู่ฟู่ ชาบู) cost 499Baht++ for 1:45hour of feasting which is totally worth it considering all the food available. The restaurant is located on Rama 6 soi 30 (also called Ari Samphan / อารีย์สัมพันธ์). A taxi (even from Ari BTS Station) is recommended to reach the place.
