A La Carte Japanese Buffet at Suku Suku
Buffet Buffet Buffet ! I got your attention now? Suku Suku is an “A la Carte” Japanese Buffet Restaurant in the Ari area of Bangkok. I am not a fine connoisseur of Japanese cuisine, but I think I can recognize a place that offers a good bang for the bucks and this is one of them! Get ready for a umami-esque review !
They offer two different sets of buffet, one at 599baht and a premium one at 799. On my two visits, I settled for the 599baht menu as the choices are quite interesting despite missing the foie gras and wagyu sushis available in the Premium buffet. Maybe next time!
I am a salmon lover and I was not disappointed by these tasty salmon roses.
This one is a kind of sushi mess; egg, cucumber, tempura sushi topped with torched cheese, more tempura and fish roes.
The kurobuta sushi is great and barely fit in one bite!
Next we tried the Kimchi soup! Well done and delicious, but I should have focused on eating more salmon.
This one is cool, these are bites sized pieces of salmon on lettuce and sprinkled with some Thai seafood sauce!
The tempura was crispy as it should and not oily at all. Good !
Another flaming sushi plate, these ones are salmon wrapped sushis, topped with cheese and fish roes on a bed of tempura. A bit too funky for me.
These ones are torched salmon nigiri topped with scallions and fish roes!
Suku Suku is located in a brand new, all white shop house style building and got two floors to accommodate plenty of customers.
Another good point (probably the best) is that the price in NET, no VAT + Service surprises!
Suku Suku is located near Phaholyothin Soi 14. In between Ari and Saphan Kwai BTS Stations. You can find them on Facebook here.
